Your Royal backyard

Welcome to Tervuren Park — your playground, your battlefield, your royal backyard for the day (or night… or very early morning).

We didn’t pick this spot randomly. First of all, what better place to hold our first backyard ultra than in our own backyard? We grew up 5 minutes away from ‘the arch’. Now our home base is 10 minutes away from Ernesto’s. We’ve run these paths (sometimes by choice, sometimes by force). We’ve biked them. We’ve had a wedding here. We’ve had moments with friends. The park has seen good training days. Bad training days. It is where we grew up. Our backyard.

But, also a backyard ultra is a weird and wonderful kind of challenge. You’re not chasing a finish line — you’re circling one loop, again and again, until your legs or your mind says stop.

So the loop? It matters. It becomes your whole world. And we wanted to give you a world that’s worth it. Tervuren Park is absolutely that world.

Once a private royal hunting ground for dukes and kings, this place has 800 hectares of old trees, hidden trails, wide-open lakes, and quiet corners that whisper stories if you listen closely enough. You’ll be running through centuries of history, even if all you’re focused on is getting to the next lap.
